Filipe Blanquet the Sugar Stylist

Today I saw amazing news about clothes made from sugar  by Filipe Blanquet. He is an architect and designer who after getting bored with his profession, decided to try something new. He started an advanced cookery course where he fell in love with patisserie. After some time he saw that he could use these new skills to make new things.

Here is the result of his creativity: a new “fabric” to build new amazing edible clothes made from candy.

Hoje vi uma notícia surpreendente sobre roupas feitas com açúcar por Filipe Blanquet. Ele é um arquiteto e designer que depois de ficar entediado com a sua profissão decidiu tentar algo de novo. Resolveu fazer um curso de cozinha avançado onde se apaixonou pela pastelaria. Após algum tempo, ele viu neste novo aprendizado um meio para criar coisas novas.

Aqui está o resultado da sua criatividade, um novo “tecido” que lhe permitiu construir roupas 100% comestíveis feitas com pasta de açucar e hóstia.

My new Doll - Fashion Editorial

These photos are from a project I did some time ago. I thought it could be interesting to share this work with you.

The pictures tell us a very familiar story which reports to our childhood. This story is about that magic moment when we receive a new toy, the happiness we feel... But the magic soon fades away. In the end, the model symbolizes the doll left behind, as kids usually do.

Estas fotografias são fruto de um projeto que eu elaborei há algum tempo atrás. Penso que poderia ser interessante compartilha-lo com vocês.

Estas imagens contam-nos uma história muito familiar, que nos reporta à nossa infância. A história é sobre o momento mágico de quando recebemos um brinquedo novo, aquela felicidade que sentimos... Mas essa magia logo se desvanece. No final, a modelo representa a boneca deixada para trás, como as crianças normalmente fazem.

The Madrid street styles were a good opportunity to see the socks trend. Many people were wearing skin short pants and showing us their colorful socks.

Maybe, now, the 80′s-Michael Jackson style is back!
