Photo shooting “BE A MODEL FOR A DAY”

Today was the photo shooting “BE A MODEL FOR A DAY”!

It was a very special day for our model Sónia Gonçalves the winner of this competition. She is a 18 years old girl from Viana do Castelo and this was her first time having this kind of experience. She had the opportunity to be dressed by Boneca which is an amazing shop in Braga with very colourful clothes with many details, I will do a post very soon to show you this store. The shoes were from Eureka, the same store I did my last post. The hairstyle has been done by Nuno Pereira who is a good professional in Braga. Last of all we had the make-up done by Sephora.

The photographer Maximino Gomes, that you already know since started this competition with me. He is an amazing photographer and also a very good friend of mine.

Sónia had a different and funny day with all the team and we will have beautiful photos very soon.

Hoje foi a sessão de fotos " MODELO POR UM DIA"!

Foi um dia muito especial para a nossa modelo Sónia Gonçalves vencedora deste concurso. Ela é uma menina de 18 anos de Viana do Castelo e esta foi sua primeira vez numa experiência deste género. Ela teve a oportunidade de ser vestida por Boneca que é uma loja incrível em Braga com roupas muito coloridas e com muitos detalhes, em breve farei um post para vos mostrar esta loja. Os sapatos foram da Eureka a loja que eu fiz o meu último post. O penteado foi feito por Nuno Pereira que é um conceituado profissional em Braga. E por último, temos o make-up feito que foi feita pela Sephora.

O fotógrafo Maximino Gomes, uma vez que está desde o início associado a este concurso comigo. Ele é um fotógrafo incrível e também um grande amigo meu.

A Sónia teve um dia diferente e divertido com toda a equipe e em breve teremos belas fotografias deste concurso incrível.

EUREKA SHOES

The photo shooting “BE A MODEL FOR A DAY” is coming and we already have everything organized. Eureka Shoes will be collaborating with us, lending the shoes for the session. They have the most amazing shoe store in Braga.

Eureka is a factory with more than 25 years oriented to produce for the international market. In the last three years they started opening their own stores and now they have already 19 successful stores in Portugal. Inside the store you can find their own brands and others also produced in their factory.

I had the opportunity to visit the store in Braga to select the shoes for the photo shooting. There I met Alexandre Malainho who is the store manager and also fashion adviser. He is the right person to help you make the best choice.

A sessão fotográfica "MODELO POR UM DIA" está a chegar e já está tudo organizado para gerar um trabalho espetacular. A loja Eureka estará a colaborar connosco emprestando os sapatos para a sessão fotográfica. Eles têm os sapatos mais incríveis da cidade de Braga.

A Eureka é uma fábrica com mais de 25 anos, orientados para produções para o mercado internacional. Nos últimos três anos, eles começaram a construir lojas próprias e neste momento contam com 19 lojas bem-sucedidas em Portugal. Dentro da loja você pode encontrar marcas próprias e também outras marcas que são igualmente produzidas lá na fábrica.

Eu tive a oportunidade de visitar a loja em Braga para selecionar os sapatos para a sessão de fotos. Na loja de Braga conheci Alexandre Malainho, que é o gerente da loja e também consultor de moda, ele é a pessoa certa para te ajudar a fazer a melhor escolha.

ModaLisboa Freedom - Winter 2013

Usually, I don't speak about fashion weeks happening at the moment for a very simple reason: if you are not working at the fashion business, that information will come too soon for you. At the moment, the fashion weeks are presenting the next Winter 2013 collection and I think you are more interested in the Summer collections, once it is what you are buying now.

Anyway, I think I should speak about ModaLisboa which is the biggest fashion week in Portugal. That will give you some information about the Portuguese designers who I think are interesting.

Normalmente, eu não falo sobre as semanas das semanas de moda que estão a acontecer no momento por uma razão muito simples: se vocês não estiverem a trabalhar no mundo da moda, esta informação virá cedo demais para vocês. Atualmente, as semanas de moda estão a apresentar as próximas coleções para o Inverno 2013 e eu acho que vocês estão mais interessado nas coleções de verão, uma vez que é o que estão a comprar no momento.

Mesmo assim, considerei que deveria falar sobre a ModaLisboa, uma vez que é a maior semana de moda em Portugal. Este post dar-te-á a conhecer alguns dos designers portugueses que eu considero mais interessantes e que estiveram presentes no ModaLisboa.

Filipe Blanquet the Sugar Stylist

Today I saw amazing news about clothes made from sugar  by Filipe Blanquet. He is an architect and designer who after getting bored with his profession, decided to try something new. He started an advanced cookery course where he fell in love with patisserie. After some time he saw that he could use these new skills to make new things.

Here is the result of his creativity: a new “fabric” to build new amazing edible clothes made from candy.

Hoje vi uma notícia surpreendente sobre roupas feitas com açúcar por Filipe Blanquet. Ele é um arquiteto e designer que depois de ficar entediado com a sua profissão decidiu tentar algo de novo. Resolveu fazer um curso de cozinha avançado onde se apaixonou pela pastelaria. Após algum tempo, ele viu neste novo aprendizado um meio para criar coisas novas.

Aqui está o resultado da sua criatividade, um novo “tecido” que lhe permitiu construir roupas 100% comestíveis feitas com pasta de açucar e hóstia.
