Polemic campaign - Loewe Oro Collection

For the ones who don't know Loewe I will quickly present this brand. Loewe is a Luxury Spanish brand since 1846, mainly specialized in leather bags, suitcases, wallets and also complements. It is a very classic and elegant brand.
Today I am speaking about them not because of their products but because of their last polemic communication campaign. As I told you before, they are a very old Luxury brand recognized for its elegance, but with this campaign they broke all the rules and they did something completely different.

This campaign is shocking the fashion community because they used young people who don’t fit the style that characterizes the brand. This reason put Loewe on the top of the trending topic on Twitter in Spain for the worst reasons.

The video campaign shows us a group of young "modern" people who are supposed to represent Loewe Madrid's youth of the 70s and 80s.

Now the question is whether or not they achieved the desired objectives with this campaign...

Para quem não conhece a marca Loewe irei rapidamente apresentar esta marca. Loewe é uma marca de luxo espanhola que existe desde 1846, ela é especializada principalmente em sacos de couro, malas, carteiras e também complementos. É uma marca clássica e elegante.
Hoje não vou falar deles por causa dos seus produtos, mas sim, por causa da sua última campanha polêmica de comunicação. Como eu disse antes, eles são uma marca de luxo muito antiga e reconhecida pela sua elegância, mas nesta campanha, eles quebraram todas as regras e fizeram algo completamente diferente.

Esta campanha está a chocar a comunidade de moda porque eles usaram jovens que não se encaixam de todo com o estilo que caracteriza a marca. Por esta razão, Loewe foi parar ao topo do tópico de tendências no Twitter em Espanha mas pelas piores razões.

O vídeo desta campanha mostra-nos um grupo de jovens considerados "modernos" que supostamente representam a juventude Loewe Madrilena da década de 70 e 80.

Agora a questão é saber se eles conseguiram atingir os objetivos pretendidos com esta campanha ...

INOV Contact program in Poland

First of all I want to apologize for being absent so long… I have been very busy with a program I will start very soon that's why I haven't posted anything new.

I’m very happy to tell you that I’m one of the 250 people selected out, of 5000, for the next edition of the INOV Contact program. I’m very proud of it!

I will be working for six months, starting very soon, in Poland for one of the biggest Portuguese fashion companies. I’m very excited about this opportunity.

Em primeiro lugar eu gostaria de pedir desculpas por ter estado tanto tempo ausente... Tenho estado muito ocupada com um programa que irei começar muito em breve e por isso é que não tenho postado nada de novo.

Estou muito feliz por partilhar com vocês que sou uma das 250 pessoas selecionadas, de um universo de 5000, para a próxima edição do programa INOV Contacto. Estou muito orgulhosa!

Eu vou trabalhar brevemente durante seis meses, na Polônia numa das maiores empresas Portuguesas de moda. Estou muito entusiasmada com esta oportunidade.

“SUR LA PLAGE” by Bea Szenfeld

Bea Szenfeld is a Swedish Fashion designer who created a “haute papier” collection. This is a continuation of earlier paper projects: “Paper Dolls” and “Whatever Forever”. “Sur la Plage” means “On the Beach” and it is the last collection with fantastic paper costumes inspired by oceanic myths.

Everything is handmade!

Este trabalho é a continuação dos projetos em papel anteriores tais como "Bonecas de Papel" e "Para sempre seja qual for ". "Sur la Plage" significa "na praia" e é o último trabalho com fantásticos trajes de papel inspirados nos mitos dos oceanos.

Welcome to Summer with Victoria's Secret Swim 2012

The weather is getting hot and we start thinking in the hot days spent at the beach... If you like to be sexy in all the occasions, Victoria's Secret presented a very sexy collection to make you feel wonderful during the summer. This collection reminds me of a sentence by Azzedine Alaïa who is a Tunisian fashion designer that once said: “A woman’s not going to buy a little skirt for a lot of money if it’s not for seduction. What else are the clothes made for?”.

O clima está a ficar cada vez mais quente e começamos a pensar nos dias quentes passados ​​na praia... Se vocês gostam de ser sensuais em todas as ocasiões, vale a pena conhecer a coleção super sexy da Victorias Secret  que te vai fazer sentir deslumbrante durante o verão. Esta coleção faz-me lembrar uma frase do Azzedine Alaïa, que é um designer de moda da Tunísia, ele uma vez disse: "Uma mulher não vai comprar uma minissaia por muito dinheiro se não for para seduzir. Para que mais seriam as roupas feitas?".

Today was a very hot day in Braga, so I went out to the city center to walk around. I saw these three amazing styles in my own city and I couldn't miss the opportunity to take pictures of them. They are quite different styles but all singularly interesting.

Hoje foi um dia muito quente em Braga, e como tal resolvi aproveitar o dia e passear no centro da cidade. Durante o meu passeio vi estes três estilos interessantes que gostei muito e não pude perder a oportunidade de os registar na minha própria cidade. Storytailors - the tailors of stories

I promised you I would write about an interesting pair of fashion designers in Portugal and here I am to fulfill my promise.

The two amazing designers are João Branco and Luís Sanchez and they created the Storytailors brand. As the name suggests, they tell stories with clothes and I think this is one of the most amazing concepts to build a brand.

Eu prometi que iria falar sobre uma dupla Portuguesa de designers de moda muito interessante e aqui estou eu para cumprir a minha promessa.

Os dois espantosos estilistas são o João Branco e o Luís Sanchez que construíram a marca Storytailors. Como o próprio nome indica, eles são os alfaiates de histórias e acho que este é um dos conceitos mais incríveis para construir uma marca.

On the 22^nd of March, I went to see the fashion show of their new collection Fall/Winter 2012/2013 at Portugal Fashion. The concept of this collection is “GOLD STAR” and it is inspired in a regional short-story named “The girl with a gold star on the forehead”. This story has been being told 100 years now in Alentejo, Portugal, specifically in Serra do Caldeirão.

This is the first chapter of a new story. The Storytailors atelier collection is with versatile and convertible jacket-dresses,  under the influence of aviator lines. In the future, this collection will give rise to the collection ready-to-wear Storytailors Narké, which will be sold at the store.

No passado dia 22 de Março, eu fui ver o desfile da nova coleção Outono/Inverno 2012/2013 no Portugal Fashion. O conceito desta coleção é "ESTRELA DE OIRO" e é inspirado no conto regional chamado "A menina da estrela de oiro na testa". Esta história era contada há 100 anos no Alentejo, Portugal, mais especificamente na Serra do Caldeirão.

Este é o primeiro capítulo de uma nova história. A coleção Storytailors Atelier é constituída por vestidos-casaco  transformáveis e versáteis, sob a influência das linhas de fatos de aviador. No futuro, esta coleção vai dar origem à coleção pronto-a-vestir Storytailors Narké que será comercializada na loja.
